Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a water-soluble, non-ionic cellulose derived from refined cotton. It is compatible with many surfactants and polymers such as starch, guar and alginates.

Cellulose ether (HPMC) products are powders used as thickeners, preservatives, stabilizers, suspending aids, consistency, gelling and water retention agents in many industrial applications. They are of great importance because of their excellent thickening effect and water holding capacity.
