PSB 006 epoxidised soyabean oil, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, is produced starting from soybean oil through an epoxidation chemical reaction. It is been used widely as plasticizer because of high numbers of epoxidized carbon-carbon double bonds. The epoxide group is more reactive due to double bonds, thus making it a good hydrochloric acid scavenger and plasticizer. Due to their high molecular weight they distinguish by extensive extraction-resistance, low volatility and low migration tendency. In addition to Its effectiveness as plasticisers, It shows a distinct effect on stabilizing polymers against the influence of heat, light and weather. Thus they improve the heat-, light- and aging-resistance of many plastic materials and resins. It is also very wellknown that epoxidised soybean oils have a good synergistic effect when used with a stabilizing metal compounds.
