HVB-0001 (formerly known as Hipol B 30) is a low viscosity thermoplastic Polyvinylbutyral Resin.

 Characteristics

• Medium molecular weight
• Outstanding sensorial properties
• Soluble in alcohols or glycol ethers
• Compatible with esters and ketones, Nitrocellulose, Epoxy Resin, Epoxy Alkyds, Phenolic Resins, Polyurethane, Melamine-Formaldehyde Resins, Ketonic Resins, Polyamides
• Reactive via free hydroxyl group

Suggested Application

Printing Inks and Lacquers:

• Flexo or Gravure
• Water resistance
• Blocking resistance
• Pigment wetting
• Good flow
• Adhesion to Cellulose Acetate, Polyester, Polystyrene, Metalized Film 
• Food packaging

Wash Primers: 

• For Steel storage, tanks, ship bottoms, airplanes, bridges, dam locks, trailers, farm equipment, automotive, rail coaches, etc 
• Flexible films with good metal adhesion

Adhesives:

• Plasticizer for Epoxy, Phenolic, Melamine-Formaldehyde or Isocyanate based formulations
• Improved interfacial adhesion, flexibility
• Temperature, solvent, chemical resistance
