URZ-240002 is an alkyl phenol-formaldehyde  resin used in making polychloroprene contact  cement. The outstanding features of this resin are its light color and ability to extend open time without affecting other properties of the finished adhesive. 

Characteristics 

• Low solubility in water 
• Good solubility in aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones 
• Partial solubility in higher alcohols 
• Light colour 
• Extends open time without negative  effects on other properties 
• Completely compatible with Polychloroprene and nitrile rubbers

• General purpose and heat-activating polychloroprene cements
• Adhesives with NBR, SBR, natural or reclaimed rubbers
